Protocols

Hudson Valley Regional Emergency Medical Technicians-Basics (EMT-B) are required to utilize the Statewide Basic Life Support Adult and Pediatric Treatment Protocols as written by the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. EMT-Bs who are operating in the field on behalf of an EMS agency approved by the Hudson Valley Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee (REMAC) to participate in the BLS Nebulized Albuterol Program are required to utilize NYS DOH BLS Protocol (SC-4) Nebulized Albuterol.
Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMT) are required to initiate the Statewide Basic Life Support Adult and Pediatric Treatment Protocols in conjunction with the Hudson Valley Regional EMS Advanced Life Support Protocols.
Certified First Responders (CFR) will be required to utilize the Protocols Manual for CFRs as written by the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of EMS when it becomes available.
